How to make The LAST Stand yourself

The Last Stand - how to make your own vinyl record platform for cleaning

DIY: How to Make an Elevated Record Stand Yourself

We sell The LAST Stand (purchase one here) as a handy way to clean vinyl records while keeping the dust off of the back side. But you can also make it yourself.  All you need is a trip to the home improvement store for about $10.00 worth of parts, and you’ll have the parts to drill and assemble the stand. Watch how to use it to clean records at this link.

Why have an elevated record stand?

A common record care problem is that after cleaning or treating one side, you flip the record and set it on a surface to repeat with the other side. The flipped side then picks up stray dirt or dust on that surface. The perfect solution is using The LAST Stand to elevate your record so that nothing touches those freshly cleaned or treated grooves. Our device is simple and sturdy, yet small enough not to be in the way. For crowded equipment surfaces, it lets you swipe your record clean with much less free space. The felt foot pads protect your fine furniture, and the oiled bronze painted parts are attractive enough for any set-up.
