I am a long time user of LAST products and have a quick question. A friend gave me part of a bottle of LAST SF 200 which he claims is the old original LAST LP preservative. Is this true? -M.W.
Dear Mr. W,
SF 200 was part of the “System Formula” nomenclature that was introduced in the mid 1980s. The carrier for the Record Preservative was changed from a Chlorine based to Fluorine based in the early 2000s. If it was purchased prior to 2003 – 4, it will have been compounded to the original formula. So yes, they perform the same function, only the carrier chemical has changed.
Thank you for asking,
