I’ve read many vinyl forum posts about new styli requiring a “break-in” period of often around 30 hours. Should the LAST Stylus Treatment be used on a new stylus while it’s being broken in? – D. in Denver
Regarding stylus “break in”, the answer is Yes. Use of STYLAST Stylus Treatment when a cartridge or stylus assembly is brand new can facilitate the process. What actually occurs is the elastic modulus of the stylus suspension system becomes more linear, more consistent, and more extended. When brand new the suspension components are (relatively) stiff and require some play time before achieving best performance. STYLAST can and will smooth the transition into the design’s most capable performance abilities.
Thank you for your query.
