I have static buildup on my records (I live in a cold dry climate). Does the Record Preservative treatment have anti-static properties?
The preservation treatment does not have anti-static properties, but it does prevent the static build-up in the first place while the record is being played. Static buildup is largely a function of the relative humidity of the air. Cold dry air is the perfect condition to create static. Just pulling the record out of the sleeve creates static. Use of a carbon fiber anti-static brush can be very helpful. (you can find these on the internet).Sincerely, Walter
