When to use the Black brush:
- If the stylus tip has not been routinely cleaned, there may be a build-up of baked-on or pyrolysed debris. If that is the case, use the in-cap brush to apply LAST Stylus Cleaner to the top surface of the black brush fibers. Then bring the black brush up from below the stylus assembly so that the stylus tip is buried in the closely packed fibers. Draw the brush towards you (away from the tone-arm pivot). The brush fibers will conform to the shape of the stylus tip and mechanically help the chemical cleaning effect of the fluid to break loose and remove the stubborn deposits.
- If there is a build-up of fluffy, dry powder debris on the stylus tip, use of the black brush is a very safe and effective method of dry-cleaning the stylus tip. As in 1., bring the black brush up from below the stylus assembly so that the tip is buried in the top of the closely-packed fibers, then draw the brush gently toward yourself. This will safely and effectively remove any loosely held debris of dust from the stylus tip.
Following cleaning, we recommend using STYLAST STYLUS TREATMENT for extending the stylus life and improve tracking ability.
Note: Please keep all LAST and other record and stylus care products away from children.
